This is the 2024 Studio summary of our year of change, growth and musical excellence following the move to Helensvale.

In January we made the successful move from Music Adventures in Nerang to my new studio in Helensvale on the Gold Coast.

Exam Results

This year saw outstanding achievements from my piano students in their examinations:

• 100% of students achieved Distinction or Honours grades
• Special mention: Olive Findlay was our first student to take a digital examination with Trinity College, London. Her recording was excellent and she received a Distinction for her Grade 6 examination.

Transition to Trinity College London

A significant change this year was the switch from AMEB to Trinity College, London as our primary examination board:

• Reasons for change:
  • More diverse repertoire options
  • Emphasis on musicality and interpretation
  • Supportive approach to technical exercises
• Initial feedback from students and parents has been overwhelmingly positive

Looking Ahead to 2025

Goals for the coming year include:

• Expanding the studio to accommodate more local students
• Holding a studio concert mid to late year.
• Exploring more of the diverse repertoire that Trinity has to offer, which includes pop, film and jazz classics as well as well-loved classical.

Overall, 2024 has been a year of growth, change, and musical excellence in our piano studio.
